I have been a customer of USAA since I was 16 years one-time. I'm now 43. In December of 2013, I transferred a residual from my Discover Card to a USAA credit card and "NEVER" had "Whatsoever" cash advances. However, today, Dec 29, 2015, when I looked to see what my payment was this month I saw my payment went from $100 to $144, and at that place was two different interest rates. 1 interest charge per unit was for purchases and the other was for "greenbacks advances". I never made whatsoever greenbacks advances on this credit card. And then, I called USAA and was told, "Cash Advance involvement rates are not what people think they are. Information technology's not that you lot pulled any cash out of your card, but that when you lot rolled your quondam balance onto the new card, office of that balance went nether "cash advances" and you're charged the same amount of involvement as that rest as you're charged on the buy balance."

I was similar **. That'due south non even how it was worded in the information I read when I did the transfer. Otherwise, why the hell would I practice that? I'chiliad because getting an attorney and filing a suit! I'yard "beyond" irate with this!!! I take "NEVER", ever had a problem with USAA, merely "THIS" is beyond wrong!! If anyone else has had this same problem please let me know. This is not okay! This is incorrect and an unacceptable business practice!

BEWARE OF BILLPAY specially if USAA says that they take a relationship with the vendor, thus not allowing you to enter the address where to send the bill. If they screw up (and THEY DID), YOUR ELECTRIC GETS CUT OFF while you think that the nib was paid and confirmed online in a timely mode! I had to make four telephone calls to get to the bottom of this and USAA threw blame on their third party vendor, CheckFree PartnerCare. I had to pay $100 eolith, $40 reconnect fee, and tardily fees. I got my deposit and tardily fees back but not the reconnect fees from the electric beak. Fighting with USAA to get that back, but the Ex. Resolution is telling me that I'thou being rude! GRRRHHH!

USAA has this new security alert that is sent to your phone as a text whenever in that location is suspicious activity. Sounds great in theory, until information technology picks a random transaction that is totally normal, like buying from Victoria's Secret, which comes upwards by name on the transaction. It is non a foreign name on the statement. All the same, I was non able to complete a transaction at this store. I did not realize I would receive a text and that I needed to respond. Instead, slightly embarrassed, I made the buy with a different card. Two days afterward, I could not get gas. Then I come across the text to confirm recent transactions. I confirmed. I received a answer that said. "Nosotros didn't sympathise your answer."

And so I called the security number given through the website. The offset adult female was very rude. She asked a series of questions. I answered all of them. She could non verify who I was and said that I was not who I said I was. Equally I was trying to inquire how that can happen. She hung up. I chosen back and got a guy named, Ed. I gave him my name, and started to reply the same questions. I told him I merely went through this process and could non be verified by the rude woman. I asked if he could meet my name on the business relationship at to the lowest degree. He replied that he could not come across my account without verifying me. So then I mentioned that perhaps he was spelling my name wrong (my entire name has been spelled wrong my whole life).

He rudely replied that he it was spelled correct because he could meet my name on the account (That'due south not what he just said!). Then he proceeded to tell me he could not verify me and that the information I gave (like my married man's name and b-solar day and kids' names and b-days) were not right and that I could not be who I said I was. I started to ask how I can fix this situation, but he hung upwardly on me. And then I called back a 3rd time and asked for a managing director. Information technology took awhile because the first lady wanted to ask me yet questions again.

I told her I had answered all of those questions twice and was told I was not who I said I was. I finally got a manager who asked the same exact questions. I gave the same exact answers, and she accessed my business relationship - finally. Hallelujah! She was able to assist me, just why did it take then much time and and then much frustration? I wanted to weep thinking that someone out there had become me. Or is that 2 out 3 people who work the Security Section cannot operate a figurer? Tin I really trust this bank with my money?

Had a fraudulent charge confronting my MC card a year agone. Was out of the country at the time and couldn't/didn't challenge the charge in time. Had to suck it up simply cancelled the card. I keep receiving bills for new charges, which I deny and reiterate the bill of fare has been cancelled. Again and again! Even in writing. No joy. Today, another charge for $300+ and, when I chosen to deny the accuse, was told I had to pay. The supervisor wouldn't even give me his name for my record of the call. The visitor is totally, insanely incompetent and venal. Will invest in a lawyer Monday. Words to the wise, STEER Articulate OF USAA CREDIT CARDS!!

I recently experienced a situation where a dishonest merchant tried to nib me twice for a purchase because "his bank did not pay him." USAA provided no help whatsoever from the fraud department and the dispute resolution process is also shaping up to be a stonewalling exercise. A credit carte visitor is supposed to provide usa a degree of protection from these bug. USAA is not doing this and is role of the problem. VERY POOR SERVICE!

I got a new credit card from USAA after buying motorcar and home insurance with them plus opening a bank account - and was offered a special credit bill of fare transfer allowing me to transfer a residue from another carte du jour (Capital 1) to the new USAA carte interest free until June 2016. After 15 days - however no transfer accepted just USAA certainly charged me $3000 plus a $90 transfer fee on day two of the request. There is no way the transfer was completed 2 days after a request. And still, I owe Capital Ane $3000 as well as USAA $3000. This is beyond belief in 2015 where everything electronic can supposedly exist accomplished. Of course Upper-case letter 1 is not at error and USAA claims information technology isn't at fault. So the finger points right back to me equally the trouble.

USAA provides a simple wizard to respond questions to input to showtime the transfer. I answered the best I could based on info on Capital I site every bit well as providing my carte number. Anything can go wrong with that wizard because it does NO mistake checking. The other strange office of the story is that Capital One merely accepts mail to pay off the credit menu - no electronic transfer is allowed. Information technology sounds to me like both banks practise not like to play nice with each other to the detriment of the consumer.

Horrible Customer Service!!!! I take a credit card with USAA. I take used it quite a scrap and have been trying to go on it depression. Recently, I decided to have the payments deducted from my checking account automatically. I started the procedure but and so realized I had already paid for the month and needed to expect until the next month or I'd be paying twice. I CANCELLED the process. I randomly checked my checking account balance a few days afterwards and noticed USAA had withdrawn the entire remaining credit card balance from my checking account, $408! I was livid! I called the following day to dispute it. They agreed information technology was a MISTAKE and they would refund the money simply it would take x days to render the money to my business relationship! This may be policy merely I was furious! I don't have $408.00 extra in my checking account!

I asked to speak to someone who could possibly get the coin into my business relationship sooner than that. She sent me to some executive supervisor. He was useless. He kept talking over me, wouldn't let me speak. Talking loud, not listening to me, basically told me I was screaming and it was my error that I was charged the 4 hundred dollars. That I requested the payment, and to think when I was ready to discuss a business concern matter with him and hung up on me. During this "chat" I asked SEVERAL TIMES to speak to someone else. He told me there was no one else. Horrible customer service!!! I am a veteran. I assumed this organization was legitimately there to assist veterans. I believe now that this is non the instance at all. I too have my machine insurance with them. I will be canceling both as soon as possible.

My 81 yr old mother had credit card fraud of over $1200, USAA called her to ask about some charges and it turned out her card was used by an unauthorized user. They went ahead and took this coin out of her checking afterwards they told her they wouldn't. It has been four months and she keeps getting the run around on when she will get her money back. She has to talk to someone different every fourth dimension she calls. They won't talk to me. I'one thousand in another state from my mother, when she called to put me on the account they say they can't because the account is closed which my mother did because she was so upset near the whole affair.

My visa menu was pirated and used in the Philippines. The culprits made an initial "tickle" withdrawal which was successful and followed that with seven boosted withdrawals the same day and double the amount of the original. I was informed by USAA that my card had been defrauded and closed it down and sent another via Fedex. The new menu is rejected and the visitor is incapable of restoring its use despite multiple phone calls on my function and an enormous runaround to multiple agents. Hard to believe that the system would let multiple withdrawals of such magnitude in a location half a earth away from my abode. Believe me, these people practice not know how to handle this situation. I've been with the Company since 1970. They are much better at handling insurance. Thanks.

I have been a member of USAA since 1983. For most of that time they were exceptional. Recently that is no longer the case. I retired outside the The states. My debit and credit cards have been falsely flagged for fraudulent activity at least one-half a dozen times in the last few years. Each time I have been traveling outside my home country. Despite notifying USAA in advance of the dates and locations of my travel, despite the fact that many of the fraudulent flag notices came while shopping at armed forces facilities in Italy, my cards continue to exist flagged.

1 would think that if the mechanism used is routinely erroneously flagging cards as fraudulent, tweaking the machinery would be warranted. There does not seem to exist any awareness of the problems this causes the customer or any concern nigh improving their security procedures. The latter are of import but if they get likewise crushing you may be compelled to look elsewhere for your cyberbanking services.

In addition I started requesting replacement cards several months ago for my MC which expires in ii days. Cards were sent to a PO box I visit infrequently. In early June, I requested they sent the cards to my abode address, expecting, as they have in the past they would be expedited mail. This is necessary because the regular mail system is unreliable. Mid-month I discovered the cards had been sent regular mail, contacted USAA and was informed they would resend via FedEx.

A calendar week afterwards, with no cards in hand, I contacted USAA again and constitute out the cards had over again been sent regular mail service. My cards elapse tomorrow, the day afterward I am leaving on a ix day trip. Considering of the trouble of false fraudulent flagging of my cards it would be more than useful to have access to both my debit cards and my MC. I have spent much time online with USAA and on the phone. The international telephone bills come at my expense. Occasionally they offer reimbursement but it is not routine.

When I travel now I accept to take special precautions and consider how I will pay my expenses if my cards are blocked. USAA has get a headache when I travel. At present with their inability to get my replacement cards to me on time and their response to this failure make it clear that I need to exist using another financial institution. My discussions with them indicated some staff who were trying to be helpful, some that were misrepresenting the facts, and some who were completely clueless.

The college up the chain I went the less interest in that location was at the problems of the customer and much more interest in defending their policies, procedures, and personnel, even when it was clear they made mistakes or have procedures that demand to be relooked. I am thinking a customs bank might notwithstanding have customer service as a loftier priority.

I have been a USAA member since 1988 and for the most part take extolled the efforts of USAA to friends and colleagues. However, recent events have me questioning my loyalty to USAA and searching for a new cyberbanking institution. It is with corking defoliation and acrimony that I study the post-obit consequence. USAA canceled my credit cards while I was on a business trip in Las Vegas last week. I was told that "the activity was not typical for your business relationship" by the many service representatives that I spoke with over the course of the week.

My kickoff business concern is the typical statement in that the representatives who decide activity level never followed through on looking at the facts before deciding what was typical for me. Had they followed through they would accept seen the following in my history: i) It is common and typical for me to travel to some other US city for a meeting during one week during June or July EVERY year; 2) Purchases were made during the months leading upwards to the trip that if they were looked at would point that I was traveling; 3) No 1 from the depository financial institution ever called me to run across if I was indeed traveling. A simple phone phone call would have shown me that USAA cares. In fact about five years ago I did become a call from a representative near a large buy that I was making. I was proud that my depository financial institution was taking care of me, but alas it seems that USAA doesn't care enough to call anymore.

Of course we are told that this is USAA's protocol to protect us from fraud and I get that simply my conviction that USAA tin truly protect us when the facts are not pieced together makes me wonder how good you lot will be when real fraud happens. Look dorsum at #2 in my listing. So, no one idea to examine the account to come across the pattern that would tell you lot I was traveling? That makes me scared. If they cannot run across the simple pattern so what happens when a sophisticated breach occurs. Is the rubric for determining fraud and so poorly constructed that it presents a faux positive so easily? In my case over again, it would seem that a simple phone call would accept been warranted.

We take been told that every fourth dimension we travel inside the US we need to alert you or the cards will be flagged and cancelled. That'south inconsistent on USAA's part because in the past 10 years nosotros have traveled to 4 or 5 cities PER Year in the US including Las Vegas (many times) and our cards were not flagged. Leaving me to over again question the accuracy of the rubric. In both the bug from terminal yr where our money was lost and this year our cards were cancelled while I was traveling and needed it, USAA has shown indifference to the humanity of its members. I ask myself now, is this where I want to do business organization? Are these the people I want to trust with my coin? While information technology isn't much, we are just working grade Americans, it is our money and I would expect that USAA would care for united states more respectfully. Information technology has become obvious to me that USAA merely does not care nearly members.

I opened a checking and savings, dorsum in January and funded them with 2500.00. grand.00 in savings and 1500.00 in checking. Upon receiving my debit menu I went to a B of A ATM to brand a $40 withdrawal. It was declined, so I called the number on the card and was told my business relationship was frozen because I didn't submit my DD214... I don't care to share my service record with them on that level. I was and so told my accounts are now with their fraud department. I told them to close my accounts and frontwards me the rest. They accept yet to do so, and I still receive balance updates by text msgs every ii days. Semper Fi.

In December of 2014, USAA had a breach on their end and notified us after they canceled our menu. This was the first issue since this canceled all of our services that we have auto payments ready to become the card. I paid off the card in total. Now each and every month USAA re-charges me the amount I have already paid on my new menu. Each and every month after a minimum of a 50 min. phone call I am promised that information technology volition be corrected. Then I receive my new bill and it's been added once more plus interest. This is nevertheless unresolved with no sign of resolution. Please cull any other credit bill of fare than USAA.

USAA is supposed to exist a company that looks out and protects its members. Like the way the members look out and protect our land! We have been USAA since the 1980s and they are treating u.s.a. horrible. Nosotros had thousands of fraudulent charges from someone who hacked into our XBOX account. I had been sick for a couple of months, made my credit card payments but was unable to open our statements. By the time I opened the statements and plant the charges and called they said they would open up an investigation and go dorsum to us. They never followed up and every time we chosen we got a unlike person and also a different story. Some said it would be taken care of and others say there is nothing that can be done. I recently made a payment through neb pay to my USAA Master Card for $125. The payment was held by USAA for vii days. I had a trace put on the payment, seems USAA has the money in manus 24 hours after I submitted the payment, only USAA put a hold on the payment for 7 days. When I asked USAA why, their response was: "Your credit card agreement says we may hold funds for up to 7 days. Your credit carte was over the limit by $three.00."

Considering of these 2 reasons, USAA held my payment for seven days. Can you imagine? I do not have a history of returned payments, or late payments, USAA held a payment considering I was over the credit limit by $three. How absurd is that? MORE?? USAA Auto Insurance, I was being over charged. Web Bill Pay was frozen for no apparent reason, took an human activity of congress to get that working.

USAA advertises, "We know what it means to serve" when actually USAA has no idea what it ways to serve. They accept progressively gotten worse over the years. I moved to Upper-case letter I 360 and accept been very pleased. They know how to serve!

Currently have auto, home owners insurance, loan, and credit bill of fare with USAA. I have been a member since 2009 and have everything set up on automated payment schedules. I have never once been late on a payment to USAA or any company for that matter. The credit card I take not used in almost a year and have maintained a 0 balance. USAA apparently charged an annual fee to the card, but never sent me a bill, never called, or emailed to notify me that a payment was due.

When I logged onto to my USAA account online due to my car insurance, they had screwed up, I happened to find a rest. I chosen USAA to inquire about the balance and was told it was an annual fee. I was told previously my card was platinum and would have no almanac fees, the rep reversed the fee. 2 weeks later when refinancing my habitation, my credit score dropped past 80 points due to a belatedly payment and unpaid balance reported to the bureau by USAA. I accept spent hours and hours on the phone with USAA and told that this is standard protocol and the consumers responsibility, basically tough **.

This is in regards to a dispute that was filed for 378.00 dorsum in September for my credit card. USAA is now saying I owe 378.00 AFTER I was credited back that amount. It clearly says in writing that I am not responsible for paying the disputed amount, but at present I owe afterward months later? I am very furious & emotional and not planning on using my credit card always again. This feel has been a complete nightmare. I should not take to keep going back and forth with this procedure. On December v & 8 2013, there were suspicious sucked that took identify on my checking and saving acct. Had then to do an investigation and in one day they stated that in that location are checks deposited into my acct and money transferred out to a PayPal acct. And I reviewed the acct with the rep, it's articulate that several attempt were made until an amt was able to be candy. USAA hold me responsible for any amt negative reflecting. They did this investigation in one mean solar day. My questions was what mobile device was used? Who were the checks from? Y'all take to take front and dorsum photos of the check then whose signature is on the check? The telephone number on my acct was changed the offset 24-hour interval the activity had taken place, did this not throw a red flag? Do y'all not know the consequent activity for an acct to encounter that something mayhap off? How tin can multiple check be deposited and taken out immediately and they allow it? How do you not verify where the check comes from? How tin can this investigation be done in ane mean solar day?

If there's no proof of any that I was aware of these transactions (scams) as they stated, why am I responsible? At that place was a 2nd checking acct opened in my name the aforementioned 24-hour interval, of course non by me only non one time was information technology verified or even was I questioned about information technology. I was notified by e-mail. All this info I take that was provide, USAA did goose egg to protect me out or help me. They stayed upon the 24 hr investigation. They stayed upon the 24 hr investigation. It appears to be a scam - all checks came back unclear and non legible (in which if done by a mobile device - if the pic of the check isn't clear or legible, it won't accept) and what money I did have in my acct was taken and negative reflection I'm responsible for. All my acct were airtight down, nothing can get in or out because we feel that basically I was aware.

Most banks are able to tell a location or device that was used to admission acct (I know bank of America does cause I accept an acct with them also) and at to the lowest degree give you a temporary credit. Not USAA, they stated that I was only out of my coin period. But their mission statement is loyalty in protecting your funds and y'all every bit a customer with ZERO % LIABILITY. USAA did not protect me, my funds, or lived up to their mission argument.

"After losing my task and non being able to brand a monthly payment, I was relying on that available credit to live." Oh, what a responsible borrower yous are (sarcasm). The fact that you fault any fiscal institution for stopping any connected losses is absurd. Crying because a bank won't front you lot unlimited funds while y'all're out of work and unable to pay doesn't sit well with responsible consumers.

I received a USAA Mastercard a few months agone with a credit line of $7,000 dollars. At first, the services were swell; charges were made and monthly payments were low. Granted my interest rate was/is 17% pct, just I've been on time with my payments. In fact, I nearly always paid $fifty dollars more than than the minimum balance, using the car-payment method via telephone.

For the past 3 months, my minimum payments due ranged near $120 dollars on a $6,999 balance (don't enquire). I paid $150 in guild to remain ahead. But one twenty-four hours, my card was strangely beingness declined despite sufficient credit bachelor. Today, I decided to take a closer look at my statements and began noticing EXCESSIVE "Interest on purchases" charges. For example, I submitted a payment of $172 dollars as denoted past the motorcar-teller "minimum payment due" amount. The payment processed and interest was removed, yielding me about $120 dollars of available credit. Two days afterwards after payment submission, my available credit was dropped to $sixteen dollars.

Logged into USAA fellow member service center to learn that NOT Just was interest removed from my payment, but an Additional $102.71 of "interest charges on purchases" was deducted from my card (debited), leaving me with only $16 dollars. Their respond? According to USAA, I was backside on my card, and this results in a i% percent interest charge on remaining bill of fare balances for each day you're overdue.... something of this sort. I replied, "That's higher than title loans! How could my credit carte du jour involvement be 17% percent with nearly $150.00 dollars of involvement payments from a single month'due south payment?" They then explained that I've been behind on my carte du jour since August 2014 (it is now Oct 2014). All the same the statement DOES Non reflect my business relationship being delinquent. And the more you endeavour paying, THE More than interest they pull out, thus causing your balance to remain near maximum, IF Non OVER.

Summary: USAA is manipulating the interest charges past not informing you of account delinquencies, despite account technically being paid-on-fourth dimension. Yous'll go round and round with the service representative, and they volition insist you are backside. As of at present, they're telling me the minimum payment due for October is $322 dollars despite me paying $172 as required by the auto-teller AND my billing statement. Notwithstanding they CLAIM my actual minimum payment due is $348 dollars. The SCAM is misleading customers who believe they are on time, yet behind airtight doors they are manipulating the true balances and charging EXCESSIVE interest on payments AND on purchases, thus leading to very loftier payments. AVOID USAA credit carte du jour services. I will exist paying this off very soon and volition never deal with USAA over again.

The carte was involved in Fraud and scam actions and there is an existing law study at Fort Bend County Sheriffs Part, complaint to the Texas State Attorney Full general'due south Office, and messages in dispute at all 3 main credit bureaus in regards to this instance. And then the card is in continue dispute for scam and fraud. Yet I have paid on this carte du jour for being a victim of a crime for the last 3 years. But USAA does non honor any of the legalities involved with this so I am the victim. I was paid as I tin on the card but I had go unemployed and there was a charge off to the account. Mind you I take non been using the account - merely trying to paid information technology off as I can simply USAA has totally lock the accounts where I take no access..

Well, I haven't researched this problem much except to see that my 0% interest on the $vi,800 balance transfers I made to USAA minimum payment is $266.00 that seems outrageous. I haven't even contacted them nevertheless to observe out if information technology'due south a mathematical error because I'thou almost positive it'll be a waste material of my time to ask them. Then, they must accept tricked me with some small print. I mean I compared my previous card (Citibank'southward) 21% interest for a $iv,400 balance and it was merely $67. And another card'south 21% interest with a $2,500 rest ($4,400 + $2,500 = USAA'due south $ half-dozen,800 balance) was minimum payment of $60.00. So, $67 + $60 is simply $127.00 payment versus USAA's $266.00??? And USAA'south has 0% interest?

My wife signed upward for a credit bill of fare with USAA. The card was activated and purchases were declined left and right. We went to an ATM and the card was declined. We went to Kmart and the card was declined. The only fourth dimension the card worked was over the internet and the telephone. The principal problem I have with them is the fact that the account was flagged for fraudulent purchases since she got information technology. I spoke to a customer service rep who stock-still the issue and bodacious me everything was fine. 4 days after, the business relationship was closed past USAA. When I asked them why, they told me that they decided to no longer do business with us and that nosotros would be responsible for the purchases fabricated on the menu. 1 calendar week afterward that, we get-go getting calls from the merchants who accepted the card and were told that USAA reneged and told them the card was stolen even though no such call was ever fabricated. So now nosotros have to go through the embarrassment of being labeled as thieves for the rest of our lives, thank you to a trigger happy fraud investigator working for USAA. If you E'er get an offer from this company, DO Non OPEN IT!!!!!! SHRED It AND Keep WITH YOUR LIFE BEFORE THEY RUIN It!!!!! If this is how companies are "representing" veterans, YOU Tin Proceed YOUR Fake GRATITUDE CAUSE WE DON'T NEED Information technology!!!!!!
