Animal Referral Hospital Baulkham Hills, Sydney (posted 19th October) Discharge Nurse

arh_logo.jpg

Vet Nurse
Baulkham Hills NSW

We have Lurelle. Lurelle is our discharge nurse, and so much more! Lurelle is moving far away. We asked Lurelle to drive 10 hours to work each day, just so she can stay. She can't.

So, we need a new Lurelle.

The Animal Referral Hospital Baulkham Hills is looking for the next person who will love our hospital the way Lurelle has.

The discharge nurse's primary role is to assist and facilitate the discharge of overnight patients to either home, their regular vet or to our specialist hospital not too far away.

Hospital maintenance is the next big focus - it is a physical role, with a focus on repair and preparing the space from the night that was and the night that will be. You need to have a passion for cleaning.

There's other stuff too - continuing relationships with our local GP's, lab equipment maintenance, keeping on top of our heaven folder and some admin stuff like ensuring X-rays are attached and histories are sent.

The role is Monday-Friday, 7am-1pm (ish) - some days you can leave a little earlier and others you might stay a little longer. Open to looking at this being a shared role but would prefer consistency with the roster.

There's a little bit of nursing involved (i.e., early morning emergency's) but this role is not a primary nursing role.

Want to know more? Drop me a line at m.sorrenson@arhvets.com
I look forward to hearing from you - Michelle Sorrenson.
